HI Everyone,
in light of the sad news from Victoria, the QVMX committee has decided to donate all profits from our first 2 day event of the year at Mt Tamborine to the victims of the bush fires.
I would like to extend an invitation to all the vintage riders to join us in making this event count.
I will make sure there are details as we get this off the ground but the event will run as per the Newsletter or go to our website at www.qvmx.com
it's a small thing to do for the so many affected by the bush fires.

Hi Everyone
as of today our sponsors for this event are Motorcycling Queensland, Moto Wreck, Pro Griffin Motorcycles, Team Moto, Motul Oils, Queensland Ambulance Service, Michael and Cheryl F (our property owners) are all on board so far.
Please lets get everyone on board no matter what club your from, if you have a vintage bike get along and help raise some funds for these folks.
The Qvmx will do their best at putting the best race meet on, all it needs is your support!

Great idea Trev, and good luck, I hope the meeting is well supported as I'm sure it will be. Good luck to the riders who race at this meeting as I'm sure it will have a bigger influence than you can imagine.

turn up and have a good ride for a great charity

not forgeting our flood victims in Qld, I just cant come to terms with the loss of life in Victoria.
Another major sponsor on board is On Site Rentals.
If anybody has any product they would like to donate to the raffles for the weekend please dont hesitate to contact me.
On a lighter note, I have aquired the services of 4 lovely young ladies ;D
to sell raffle tickects and take donations from the willing competitors and spectators on the Sunday, so make sure you bring plenty of coins.

I'll throw my hat into the ring T'Rev should be able to provide a few good prizes for the raffle! Both my boys are up here and keen for a ride so I'll bring the "Swoppa" (AKA Will) and "Chook" (AKA Mick) down for a ride. Havn't been to Tambo for a few years looking forward to it.

cant get washed out (sorry brisbane) i was actually going there :'(
so you guys at brissy club come down for a good days racing and
riding remember all money goes to bushfire appeal as mentioned
classes for everything even our first pre 90 race :o

Very very hot,very very dusty. I don't know how you guys handled it out there in that heat??? I have put some of the shots up on my site, gives you an idea how dusty it was, in the first half of the day.

i dont know where to start!
the weekend was amazing, so many people dug deep, even in these hard times, to give whatever they could afford.
all our sponsors were amazing in their generosity and especially Big Bill of Moto Wreck with all those raffle prizes, thanks mate you made the difference.
another amazing act of generosity was from the landowners who would not accept any payment for the two days, a big thankyou to the Fraser family!
With 80 riders on Saturday and 115 on Sunday it was huge, even with the very hot conditions and a bit more dust than you would care for, the racing went off without a hitch. Many thanks to Gosso and Brenden for helping out on the day, you guys are what the spirit of our sport is all about, Cheers!
and last but not least, those two sheila's Marion and Kylie and the rest of the gang, Chris, Steve, Craig,Wayne,Michael P,Bret,Philip,Bob and anybody else who chipped in, Thanks for making the weekend happen.
stay tuned for the final tally, but with auctions and raffles alone we are nearly at $3000 with approx another $3500 to come!!!
on a funnier note, it looks like i have found my new calling as a Auctioneer.

I hope that all who attended this meeting had a good time.
Jackiemac, great photos, but dont ya just hate the dust to photograph in? I know I do and so does my camera, but you have done an excellent job.

:D believe it or not, i went away empty handed.Trev put the pressure on though! It was a laugh for sure. As far as the cz goes, i am trying to get the old man on it but is happy for me to ride it for now. The thing is a weapon. I feel like i am cheating.

Yeah Wombat,big Bills son Mick was doing a fantastic imitation of the wheelie king before hitting the deck and causing some chaos.fortunately noone was seriously injured but mick got a nasty bump on the scone. Race was restarted as you know.

What an amazing effort from all the memmbers who came and contributed to such a fun weekend!
i will make arrangements today to have the Chq presented to the Red Cross on behalf of the memmbers of the QVMX

Neally vmx247 I'm the bloke on W8 and the other guy is Big Bill the two bikes in the link are our 84 250's and this one is the new 89 250, but it is a small world mate.
