Title: SimonS forks assembly

I bought these out of the US and the arrived totaly disassembled.
I am hoping someone can confirm I have the components correcty organised for assembly, any one here know these at all? have I got it right?

And does the negative rebound spring sit down in the lower fork leg like this?

or does it sit under the piston ring inside the fork tube like this?

Sorry , perhaps someone can answer me the following question. Just from looking at the pics , what makes this forks so valuable compare to , lets say a IT fork ?

Because they have "Simons" writen on them...and because they were the shit hot, best  aftermarket "Period" forks for their day,
