I'm trying to piece together a '74 Montesa VR. Are there bits from the V75 and VA that will work on the VR? Thanks!

I'm 98% certain wheels (brakes etc) and all engine bits swap. VA cases are the same but VB onward differ. I'm 90% certain the tank swap although there are small differences like breather position etc. VR are also slightly smaller than VA or VB.
I don't know if improvements were made with porting or compression etc for performance increase over the models.
Check to confirm all the above.
I have an original bore 360 barrel and head that will go straight in there if you are interested ::) :P ;D

The first VR has a slightly different tank with the mounts on the side rather than the top.

V75 had very slight porting changes to let the engine hit peak power lower in the rpm range. VA 250 eliminated the exhaust bridge, with a large oval shaped exhaust.
Everything else will interchange between the three models.

Well, I have the front end from triple-clamps through front wheel assembly, motor, rear wheel assembly, tank, seat and misc. bolts (axles, pivot, motor mounts). I have a line on a frame, but not sure if that will pan out.
:)
Any problem areas I should look for on a used (73-74) frame?
