Back in the firing line again Robyn ;)
-
Hi Robin,
Hope your club gets plenty of riders/members for 2009.
Also just hijacking your thread to see if yourself or anyone knows of other VMXer's in the Ingham, Townsville, Normanton and Karumba areas that are fairing ok, in the rain regions.
Apparently Ingham got 330 mills over night.
cheers 8)

Yeh a bloke must have rocks in his head . allison use my thread anyway that makes you happy
-
Robin, you have the sign on day as 22 Feb, should it be 28 Feb as per your web site?
Mike
-
is there still going to be a working bee on the 23rd?
I had to work today, the website had the 23rd listed so I pencilled in that day a few weeks back?
-
just realised the 23rd is a monday

website is still running 2008 dates, give the boys a bit of time and keep an eye out for the newsletters

G`day trying to get a hold the disc so i can get into our website working bee was sat thanks to all who turned up sign on is the 22/2/09.keep eyes open for newsletters otherwise i will post any relevant news here thanks robin bmcc
-
sorry, hope my post didn't sound like a whinge. I looked at the website at the start of January and thought the dates were for a last weekend of Feb - combination working bee Saturday/ practice Sunday.
I was sitting reading this post the other night (after a couple of beers) and flicking between it, and the BMCC website and getting more confused. I didn't know what was going on until Mr Vanderbilt pointed out the fact I was a year behind ;D

What's rollup time at Nudgee this Sunday, Robin? By the way, I managed to find the track ok, that is if it's the one on Raubers Rd. The VB is rearing to go!
-
news letter has been sent out sign 9.00am sunday. get there earlier to help out, practise starts 10.00am with this rain track should be great .
-
Plenty of rain on the way especially for Saturday, should make it a bit exciting out on the track Sunday. you have got the right track mike1948. lt should be a good turn out.
Keep Smiling

-
Hi,
Still trying to get my bearings on Qld,how far is the Nudgee track from Conondale.
cheers Alison
-
Nudgee is a few clicks west of Brisbane International airport . Conondale to Nudgee is an hour & a bit south
-
The track's even marked on the Brisbane UBD street directory!
-
I might have posted this pic previously...
See the Gateway Bridge in the top right corner?
The Bridge is a couple of kliks from the Brisbane Airport and it's a similar distance to the Nudgee track.
-
Well, I won't be there for the sign on day :)
But I hope I can get there sometime this year for a ride. Hopefully the Double the Dirt event with any luck. That track looks like fun. And it's right by the freeway too.
-
Just go full factory Graeme and leave a bike up here and fly in fly out as the airport is only 10 mins away!!!
Come to think of it it is the ideal track 2 mins off gateway, 10 mins to airport and 15 mins from the heart of the city!!
Haven't ridden the track sence I broke my leg there at the end of 07 but might have to dust off the 79 reddy and have another go?
Shane
-
No Shane, full factory is just turn up and ride. I have a bike for Graeme or any other member who wants to go full factory. Turn up and ride. ;)
-
Geez, that's attractive! What sort of bike? That'd be do-able - fly up and race and back home in one weekend!
-
How about a "forum-farts" meeting there? Bill are you in ;D I still want to ride Nudgee, it looks like a cool track.
-
We will be up there at 10.00am still for a club meeting and will still do sign on
-
Maybe when the calendar is released, we can select an event later in the year where we could do a 'forum farts get together'? I'd be up for that, it definitely looks like fun.
-
I have a few to choose from Graeme. Pick your poison. cr125 and 250 green stripe. CZ400 '74. '77 Maico 400. cr125 and 250 ra. Maico 490. Sounds like a plan hatching here.
-
You could be right there. I think we need to give this one some thought. So, BMCC, where's the 09 calendar? I'm keen to come for a ride!
-
I also have some yellow bikes you can ride Graeme. Now I know as much as you'd really like to ride the bike, I'll have to keep the TS400 parked :P..I don't have the liability insurance :D serious, plenty of bikes up this way for visitors ;)
-
Count me in :) great idea 8)
-
I am definitely interested in this, the tricky thing is finding an available race date that fits. I will post the BMCC calendar up tomorrow, but possible dates are 19 April or 31 May (the Sunday before CD6). Any thoughts? And Doc, thanks for the offer. Maybe a CR250 from Brad and a RM125M/S from you? Or if I came up a week early for CD6 I could bring my own RM125M...
-
mmm..no probs Graeme cepting for 1 problem, I actually don't own an RM125S or M excepting the TMS version :-\ how bout a '78 RM400? give your left foot a rest ;D
-
Oops... I thought you had an M! No worries, if this idea ever flies we can work out the details. A bike is a bike is a bike. I can go slow on almost anything to be honest!
-
This is staring to take shape as we speak - old farts forum race will be looking at dates to arrange.Robin President BMCC
-
if Double the Dirt gets back on the 09 calender, it could be a good one. i may be able to throw a bike on offer too. but don't expect much guys, can't give you a fast one can we... ;)
-
no Graeme, Dodgee is the 1 with the 125M, actually he has an S too..err..as well as an 125A 125B 125C and a 125N. I don't think he has a T but I may be mistooken :D Dodgee, collector of all things yellow ;) sounds like this forum farts event could become reality unlike the blowfly class that would always struggle to get the numbers ;)
