Title: 1979 - 1980 yz125 & 250 rear brake bush
Post by: mainline on February 01, 2009, 04:46:09 pm
just wondering if anyone knows if there's a swap/replacement for the bush that goes in the end of the torsion arm that connects to the rear brake plate.

It's NLA from Yamaha, and none of the usual suppliers have one. Just wondering if I should look for a bearing in the same size or have something machined up. If I go down that path does anyone else need one while I'm at it?

pt no.36 is the one I'm looking at - 90387-08699. It seems to be common to YZ125F and G and YZ250F and G. Probably others too but I haven't looked any further than that.

you must be a bit fussier than me Paul. when it comes to things like that, i have a small length of small diameter hydraulic tube that i'll cut off to length and if required i'll use some compressed air hose or oxy hose. if the garden hose was good enough quality {which it ain't} i'd even consider using that.
i'd even cut up a kids toy if it had the right part. ;)

c'mon Vandy, you're talking to the only guy with a grease-gun muffler  ;D  me, fussy? ;D

and no wonder you spend so much time with the kids, trying to make up for cutting up their toys ;D

E74, if you do have one it would be greatly appreciated, even as a loan to have a copy made

Cheers
