Title: KX500 ID's

Is there a site to find year model by the numbers?
What years had the number plates on the rear guard?

I think that only the '83 & '84 air cooled models had the numberplates on the rear guard .

brad the visual differances are
83 round slide carb 84 flat slide
83 gold rims 84 silver rims
83 gold swingarm 84 silver swingarm
83 single plug head 84 duel plug head
83 standard seat 84 safety seat
engines are basically identical except for head
there are other differances but these are
the basic visual ones ;D ;D ;)
they are a good bike the engine power output
is very similar to maico 490 ;D
