Title: My Maico
Post by: maicoman on January 05, 2009, 11:06:12 pm
Hi there guys & girls, I'm sure there are some. I am only new to this forum. This is a photo of 1 of my Maico's. This is my 1984 SC500.I have another bike the same minus engine that came from a guy that lived in Gladesville just down the road from Ross King. I also have a 1984SC250 that apparently belonged to Rob Langlands with a KX disc front end, and a 1985 M-star 250. Plans are for a full resto but with the amount of other bikes I have I'm not sure when I'll start it.
This photo was taken back in 1994. Two weeks later I took it on the infamous Wisemans Ferry to Kandos Ride. What a baptism of fire aboard a mighty maico. ;D (http://i294.photobucket.com/albums/mm118/hotvette/maico.jpg)

Cheers Michael I see you like the PE's me too. I have a PE250X and 2 PE 175X . I 'am still chasing the elusive 400. A mate of mine has one under some tin in his yard but won't let go. I give him a little nudge each time I see him. It needs a new stator because it over revved a threw the magnets aswell as backfiring damaging the barrel. It is 99% complete and still has the black rubber Suzuki flap attached to the front mudguard. I'll keep trying that one. ;D

Hey Frostype400 I'm located in Camden, NSW where abouts are you? It doesn't matter what model PE400 aslong as it is mostly complete. Suzuki's seem to be really hard to get all the lighting equipment.
