what about the table on pp15 of the Mikuni VM manual?
Mikuni VM manual.pdf
Will that tell you what you need? (sent the PDF to you)

It's also up on my skydrive

yes i have this, but this book is for aftermarket mikunis. OEM suzuki mikunis are often special size bodies to fit in certain size spaces. eg the one above is a specially built carb (dimension wise) for application in suzukis.

dimension 'B' is the criticle one. i need a 30 or 32mm roundslide carby that wont hit the cases.

maybe even 75-78 RM's?

I have here the carby off my young blokes RM 100 T which although has been fitted with a 125 barrel & head (fitted by previous
owner) is to the best of my knowledge the original carby. The dimensions you requested are as follows;

A=  99mm

B= 77.5mm

C= 40mm

D= 57.3mm

E= 135mm

This one has an O-Ring sealing the top cap and a 14mm plug in the bottom of the float bowl, the choke lever is the same set-up but the airbox side of the throat is smooth ie; no small raisure on the air boot mounting flange (mounting flange is 22mm FWIW) also the intake manifold side typically incorporates an indexing feature at the 12 o'clock position, all fuel inlets/drains are on the LHS. I hope this helps out. I can send pics of uninstalled carb if you require, cheers.

thanks for that. unfortunatley both of those wouldnt be any good. i need measurement 'B' to be less than 70mm so float bowl doesnt hit cases. i might have to look at TM carbs or maybe GT/T 500 road bike carbs.

That is pretty small. A Lectron will not fit.
