what engine has this got in it?
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/yamaha-yz-125_W0QQitemZ110330391638QQihZ001QQcategoryZ102679QQssPageNameZWDVWQQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem
i suppose it doesn't matter, given that it's got a "power ban"
-
That particular "Dead Horse" has been flogged around here a few times.
-
how so?
-
engine is DT125/175 with a stock carby and whatever pipe was made to fit, possibly from the 125E/F frame. cleaned up it would be an alright fun/trail bike
-
I emailed him last time it was on Ebay, and he said that it was DT125 engine.
It went for $810 last time, which seemed quite high to me, so I'm not surprised that its been relisted.
-
I hadn't seen it before on ebay, or whenever it was brought up here. I knew the engine wasn't right, just didn't know what it was.
Mainly I'm just always mildly amused whenever someone mentions the "powerband" as if it been recently installed, upgraded, or is some sort of aftermarket option. Childish of me I know, but there you go.
-
don't confuse "powerban" with "powerband" Mainline.
see, a powerban has been fitted to this machine. we call it DT while this guy calls it powerban.
get it! power Ban ;D
oo, i crack myself up sometimes :D
-
i don't get it
-
Power has been Banned from that particular bike.
;)
-
It appears the shit that was dribbled in the ebay ad, was contagious ..... :P
-
i still don't get it ::)

Australian Dirt Bike Wreckers in Moss st (now defunct) used to sell second hand power bands, I remember seeing them under glass at the front counter next to the DG Heads and chain rollers. You had to fit them yourself though, curiously they looked a lot like rubber bands, I had my eye on a particularly thick red 'Band, but the Guy said he wouldn't sell it to me cos I was a minor :(
-
you could soak a normal one in brake fluid and fatten it up a bit ;D
-
hey Rocket, i believe those bands were banned too :)
-
oh, you're on fire
