Title: Pre 85 class - Vic Enduro

I recently emailed the Victorian Enduro Committee to see if they would consider an "pre 85" class at state level. There reply was;

Yes we would consider a Pre 85 Class.

All bikes would have to comply to our Supp Regs, the only problem one may be Noise.
All bikes need to be below 94Db to ride any event.

Also you will need a minimum of 6 bikes to make the Class.

Would there be interest out there if there was a competetive class for Vintage Bikes at a State level. I know I am interested, however I am just trying to gauge if other people maybe?

I have been to 2 x Vinduros in 2008 and had a great time, being non competitive and getting 50+ riders I thought there maybe other guys (6 to make a class) interested in competitive racing on a vintage enduro bike?

If I get enough positive feedback I will persue it further.

Sounds like a GREAT idea!!!, surely there are 6 mexicans with enough nuts to take on the big dogs.... ;D

Hey Bundi the 2 vinduro,s i rode this year were great fun and there was plenty of room if you wanted  to push harder so for me they were just right if i was goin to ride in a full on enduro race i would want to do it on a new bike and maybe ride a vets class and with 4 vinduro's for this year + viper it's gonna be a busy year so good luck if you make it to the vinduro's come and say hello .

I would definitely be keen if there was a class, I could not 100% commit to riding at all the rounds though. Like yzhilly says, there's a lot happening this year, not to mention all the other stuff that fills in weekends.

was going to ride vic enduro this year in over 45 class but may bring my rm 400 out for a round if the track suited keep me posted

There's no Pre 85 class listed for 2009, so I assume this isn't a goer?

I suppose there would be nothing stopping you from riding any of the other classes on an old bike, as long as it met all the other requirements.

On another note, as I understand it, this event would require a Senior National Licence, can someone confirm?
