Title: 44mm Fox Factory triple clamps
Post by: LWC82PE on December 31, 2008, 03:18:46 pm
I have some 44mm FOX Factory triple clamps forged from billet alloy -  good condition
Bar mounts are swept back type but since they are bolt on you can change them/make your own. Steerer tube can also be changed if needed.

they could also be sleeved back to a little smaller size than 44mm.

I think these are Yamaha type but they could be made to go on pretty much any bike.

At this time I don’t want to and im not desperate to sell these for money, so don’t ask to buy them. I would much rather prefer to swap them for

White Brothers/Profab triple clamps to suit…..

TT 500 F thru H, IT250/400 D thru G,IT 250/465 H  - part number WB336PF  (so they are for leading axle fork models)

possibly the ones they made for YZ 250/400 might be ok aswell.

i have a picture of these clamps but they are pretty much same as what came on some amercican HL's

if anyone has these WB/Profab clamps but doesnt want my fox ones i would consider buying them from you and then i would sell the clamps for cash to someone else.

Or maybe some other aftermarket parts or part & some money to make up the value of the fox clamps.

will see what happens after a few weeks, the cash would be handy to get some parts made for my air shox, but i would really like some of those triples im after. they ended up not quite being what i wanted. if they were 40mm then yes i would consider keeping but for me to make use of them now, they would require a bit too many mods and i would be better off with the WB/Profab ones

will also do some sort of exchange on these for a White Power fork kit for 38mm RM/PE fullfloater forks. you know the kits that had the damping adjuster knob in the caps. will put a photo or 2 of the clamps on here in a day or 2.

Ok I am going to be open for offers on these fox clamps. I know best offer sales are a pain but I want to see if I get an offer I cant refuse otherwise they will go on ebay, but I will hold off from that for 5-7days. Might be a good oportunity if you want to avoid a bidding war.

Keep in mind complete front ends with the forks seem to sell for $1600-$2000 USD or maybe higher, so I am thinking over $500 AU for the clamps.

These clamps are in very good condition. I have NOT restored or polished them. I have only cleaned them. The lower half of the bar mounts are a sand cast finish so I have bead blasted just those. The alloy is in good condition and not corroded and is quite shiny. I have not polished these as that would remove the original forged finish. There are no deep gouges or grazes. There are a several very small nicks but these can be smoothed off with a file or sandpaper and it would be possible to get these looking almost new again. There is 1 pinch bolt missing which is just a 5/16 UNC bolt ( about $1 from a fastener supplier). There are no bearings. Included is a top bearing dust cover, chrome top clamp center bolt and a few other miscellaneous stem spacers/washers.

The bolts are cleaned and ready for replating or you can replace them. Over all the clamps look very good and will be good for a racer, but it will be possible to get them looking even better for a mint restoration.

Please only email me your offer to [email protected]

photos hopefully tomorrow

im pretty sure you can use these with 43 mm forks aswell. if they dont clamp down to 43 then what i would do is bore them out to 45mm and then make up some 1mm sleeves to bring back size to 43mm.
