Title: 84 / 85 RM125 - Parts Needed
Post by: BAHNZY on December 03, 2008, 05:14:27 pm
Thanks to E-Bay, i have hobbled together a bunch basket cases into a single 84 RM125 with a 85 disc front end. To complete the bike i need;
- Cylinder.
- Disc front wheel and disc brake components.
- Carburettor
- Rear Shock (have one but is just about shot)
I will take a complete parts bike or just the bits. Trying to do it on the cheap. Have a mates young bloke that is super keen to ride but doesn't have the $ to do it.

Regards, Rod

Bahnsy,
I wish you luck mate from past experience the cylinderl ,rear shock and front disc components are the very hard parts to find successfully.But the carbs are easy to find ;D.I recomend Evil Bay USA.But I have a cylinder with a broken skirt for an E which is around 4 over if you want  it for the cost of postage from NZ to Aus ($40 AUD).
Cheers mate and good luck.

Suzuki43,
Have been doing the e-bay thing (that's what got me into strife in the 1st place  :) )
Have been watching this for a while;
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120329817497&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem= (http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=120329817497&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=)
but at $240 Aus plus freight and not knowing the condition it is a risk to high to take. To date i have paid less than that for the 3 x e-bay auctions this far.
With your barrel, would the following part negate the issue that it has? Understanding that this is for a 81 model (only pic i could find) Wiseco also do one for a 84/85;

Your 100% correct re brakes, they have been rediculous. These have been the best of the bits that i have seen so far.
