Hi Dennis,
Thanks! I ran all the numbers and it's an '83 420 built in late 1982. Did these things come with compression releases in the head? Mine has the fitting for it to the right of the spark plug but I don't have a cable or lever. Ideas?
Thanks!
Denis
I like mine with one "n". I'm rather used to it!

Kangaroo Petrol? Only in America!
-
I'm sure they sell Fosters in there too. ;D
-
Funny thing is, we don't really drink Fosters here. These days it's essentially an export beer. Awful stuff. :-[
-
Do you guys have the Fosters in the green can? It's actually not too bad. We don't get much Australian beer up here: the only ones I remember seeing in the stores have been Fosters, KB and Broken Hill.
-
Green can? It's called Victoria Bitter here, or VB for short. It's still pisswater (Sorry Magoo but the truth must be told). KB was a popular beer back in the seventies but it's way out of fashion these days. Broken Hill? If it's as ugly as the town, it'd be awful as well. Life's too short to drink bad beer. A trip to any Dan Murphys liquor store will open up a whole new world of Ausie boutique beers to the discerning drinker.
My Aussie favourite....James Squire Golden Ale.
Seeing you're in the US Denis, look for Coopers Ale. It was freely available last time I was there. What state are you in?
-
Yeah, the green one. It used to be called bitter, now it's called Premium Ale, only available in the oilcan. The last time I had KB was back in the '80s, about the time when my KTM was built. :P That too came in an oilcan, but gold with red stars or kangaroos or something on it.
James Squire sounds promising, but I doubt I'll find it, although my beer store has literally hundreds of beers on hand. I remember the name Coopers but have forgotten about it. I'll look around. I'm in North Carolina.
Hey, I like the way motorcycle talk has switched over to beer!
