Is it ok to post copies of old adverts and articles from old mags such as trail and track?

Im talking about thirty year old articles?

I don't know the legalities of it, but I've been doing it since I started the site and so do lots of other people. Stuff from mags long out of business shouldn't be an issue. I emailed ADB and VMX mag for permission to reproduce any of their stuff though.
