Can any of you Husky lads tell me if there where any 83 510's that came out with a orange frame ?
-
The first of the TE & TX 510 ( & TC500 ) fourstokes came out in '83 . They had a white frame & a white plastic tank that was a similar shape to the '83 aluminium tanks on all the two stroke models .

Looks pretty original and even has the ITC Ohlins still fitted. Not sure about the dodgy looking heat shield attatched to the cylinder above the header pipes..imagine getting cut open by that if you fell off.
-
Awsome!!, just get rid of the big fin head :D
Thomas Gustavsons prelude to the Husaberg motor, now thats one husky I would own!
-
I owned an '84 model 510 and had nothng but problems with the ignition. Even after replacing the stator with a brand new one the bike used to just stop when it got hot.
-
theres a bit of work ahead but for a carton of piss, how could you go wrong!
cool bikes them Husky four bangers.
love the angle iron seat/frame rail supports :D
-
Nice one!!! I'll give ya TWO cartons!
-
is it a heat shield or a home made head gasket and whats the angle iron for under the seat
-
The Fella who I bought it off made the extentions on the cooling fins to try & keep the old girl cool, the angle iron on the sides of the frame? well I didn't ask about those but when you sit on the bike they seem to be put there to protect youre legs from the home made exhaust.

modern tecnoligy lol

This is just an indication of the prices that parts for these air-cooled fourstroke Huskys are going for , even with the tough World economic conditions at the moment : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370139702495&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=

And the cylinder & piston : http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370139694010&sspagename=STRK%3AMEWAX%3AIT&viewitem=

I have a pair of headers and mid pipe for one of these, if anyone needs them.
Cheers,
