Title: pre '70 rti
Post by: pancho on November 25, 2008, 11:38:31 am
my rti siezed half way through the 25 lapper at the nepean two day meet.the problems per list 1/.i now have 2 barrels and pistons that are rat-s!!!, and max oversize. 2/.the only financial supply is the o.a.p. [plus occasional lurky cash jobs].QUESTION, does any one know of a piston that is a bit bigger out of anything else that i could have my barrell bored out to take?the class is pre'70 500cc so big bore can only help make up for ability! cheers wally.

Hi Wally,
Talk to Nev.
I mentioned your problem to him the other day and he said he had a source.
Cheers

Wally,
Give me a call on 0418693663, what size are your barrells on now? Just had a crank re built by Craige down at MMT, couldn't for the life of me find an RT1 rod kit but we have now found one to match through PROX - gotta keep them RT1's goin!

If its running as a pre-70 bike, then its non-reed.

I bought a stack of Yamaha pistons from jgroom888 on US Ebay, and paid SFA for them - but they only go to +1.00mm, and I keep forgetting to look for the larger (after-market) piston kits.
