I just bought these on EvilPay.
http://cgi.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT&item=270299994226
I was buying them on spec thinking I might use them on my 'project in da making' bitza Monty enduro. I was thinking they were D or E model 250 but upon closer inspetion they have the 'coolant thru the steering stem' arrangement. These were used on the 125 for one model year only IIRC. Right or wrong? Are these hard to come by parts? Is any one here particularly 'hanging out' for a good set or parts for a resto or racer?
I might put them on EvilPay, for better money ::):D, and with a better description ;). There may be someone out there really 'hanging out' for these bits as a resto or racer.

G'day Greame,
i believe 2 models on the 125, YZ125H,J (1981,82) and one only on the YZ250J (1982) that these were used.

Good score for $5 bucks :D

And a 4 hour trip ::).
A case of 'opps, nice mistake' 8).
I saw 'pick up only -Sanctury Point'. No probs, just down near Holsworthy, worth a shot!!!! (Thinking Soldiers Point or Voyager Point or sometink).
Then I won a Yammy D model plastic kit from Scott at VMX plastics and the postage was $25. Sooooo.... ;D
A day off, a nice day for a drive and a ute that runs LPG and away we go ;) :D 8)

If there 43mm forks there off a YZ250J . I think the 125 ones are 38mm .

38's = 125. Should just about be perfect, springs/dampering, for a twofiddy trially/enduro ;D.
Still it would be better that they go to a worthy cause to complete resto or racer. For a bitza there's arrange of forks I could use. In line forks would be the most 'period' correct for the chassis. But hey, for $5 I'm not gonna argue :P 8).

Lots of Yamahas used 38mm forks, so 'normal' triple clamps are easy to come by.
And you drove four hours? Am I allowed to call you rude words? Can't have been more than 5 minutes for jimson, and it's less than 15 for my old man. Either of them could have saved you the time and petrol if you weren't in a screaming hurry to get them. ::)

My geographically challanged 'dumb' mistake wasn't as bad as I thought. Sanctury Point was mistaken for the estate called The Sanctuary at Voyager Point ::). The subliminal mind ::) :P.
