Title: "Let Brock bye"
Post by: mainline on November 10, 2008, 09:43:43 pm
Anyone else read the latest MX Action?

Once you get past all the ads there's a good feature on the whole incident with some pics from the day.

Yeah it's a great story.

And yes MXA has a lot of ads, but nothing compared to the adfest that is RacerX [and some of the other US mags].

yeah, gimme mxa any day.  they know their bikes and they know their mx history and heritage and aren't afraid of pushing it.  and back in the day, if dirt bike mag was the playboy of mx mags....mxa was penthouse....even saucier.....(like adb compared to t&t).

don't get me wrong I'll still pick up mxa over most other mags, but I think they have slipped in the last 15-20 yrs (although that's a pretty good run).

I suppose I've been spoilt by VMX  ;D

One of the very few instances of 'team orders' being applied in motorcycle racing

Well I don't know anything about mx action mag ,,,,, :-\
But I do know that I've enjoyed the Australian Motorcycle News LEGENDS issue, with lots of old bikes and eras of days gone by..
Gotta admire  Mick Doohan,Marlboro 20's,go the rat,DRYVTECH,Barry Sheene,Lost Race Track(Bathurst),
Ricky C and the worlds finest trails rider Adam Raga,Adam Reimann letting loose on the salt at Surfers and don't forget the sidecar with Chook Hodgekiss on a Norton 600cc.  :-*
