For all you X-kiwi's and wannabe kiwi's and anyone else who would just like to ride in NZ. This is the Past Masters event held in the South Island near Christchurch last weekend (2 Sept). A few Northern boys made the trip across the stream and had a blast.

Geez DJR looks a bit dry where did all that loam from the last meet go. Nah just just joking how did that bloke fall off on that carpet i hope he was highlighted in the weekend results ?.

Hilly, this is down south and yeah she was a bit dry down there(except the night before the racing ;)). The guy that is taking samples of the grass might have got in TMBills way as he is #219 ;D . But not to worry we are back at Waverley in 2 weeks so the best loam to race on is going to get roosted again. Its the first round of the series so I would expect about 130-150 bikes to rock up.

MMM now you point that out DJR maybe the Officials should be viewing these pics .there is a fine line between a block pass and taking a wheel ???.

We dont have officials in that way Hilly. Our officials just have to make sure the beer is cold at the end of the day ;). The guy on the XR just did a nice slide but forgot to bring it back up ;D.(green grass does that to ya sometimes) In fact the racing on the day was very clean, as is all VMX here. Everyone knows everyone so even though the racing can be very competitive it is always clean. At the Masters of Motocross event that we ran 2 weeks ago 2 guys(CR250 & KX250) were battling for first place the whole race and where I was watching I saw them pass each other 6 times in the space of 3 corners without so much as a little rub(even in the tight stuff). And they kept racing like that all day. It was very exciting to watch.
