Post by: vmx42 on November 06, 2008, 01:46:58 pm
Hi Guys,
I just thought I should warn you that Honest Muz has finally emerged from hiding and was spotted lurking at the VMX event in Taupo over the weekend. Rumour has it that he has been spotted looking at an '84 KX250. He could be coming to an event near you. Here is a copy of his most recent image.

C'mon Jeff, stop trying to wind us up. You know damn well that's no Stuka, it's a P51D. Honest Muz would know that!! Pierre Clostermuz tho, well, he's a different kettle of fish.

Graeme,
You are right of course. I am off to the room of mirrors to take a good hard look at myself.

that brings back some memories...

I don't know how many of you remember it, but my favourite cartoon of his was one of a guy bent in half with his head buried in the ground at the end of a huge skid mark while the wreckage of his bike smoking in the background, and trotting over the hill towards him is old mate asking "didja fall off mate?"

Muzz's instruction on how to ride a Husky 125 ruined my life.

Remember the dog Honest Muzzle

About a week ago i reread the story of him winning gold at the 6day in spain, IMO one of the best race story ever.  I passed it to a mate who has boys that ride, interesting to see what they think.
Whats the chance of getting him to CD6.
I love the feature "The Moto Mentality" in November 82 issue.

ADB was alive with Gonzo cred during the Honest Muz era. It lost a little bit of soul when he left.

Firko,
I still laugh at H Muzz and his thongs that he used to wear.....standard old woolies type with an old Metzler knobby cut to suit and glued on the bottom for extra traction!!!

I have a vivid memory of Muz (and Jinni) whilst he was on the west side of the island...we were at an event just north of town and Muz was casually leaning on the roo bar of the piece of GMH crap he was driving at the time....shorts with no jocks and a gonad hanging out the leg of the shorts..!! what a sight!!  Classic story teller and as most would know imaginative cartoonist!!!...must find a better way to get the tops off beer bottles than with a 520 chain tho..!!
