To answer all your questions I had the bike listed on Ebay:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ih=010&sspagename=STRK%3AMEUS%3AIT&viewitem=&item=200142502951&rd=1
Also this bike was imported from Japan and all new bikes sold in Japan do not come in a crate. Price is $13.000.00 usd not open to offers price is firm.
well he has hidden his email so it makes it a bit hard.

i dunno if its me or not but the yamaha stickers on the tan k have been moved back either from factory or tank has bin resprayed at some stage in life the big round fuel tap has also been chaged out by the looks of it
but even noticing those things its a bloody nice unit
mabye not in my price range
-
That's the correct fuel tap for a yz250a and the tank stripes look fine I just had a look at a nos tank on my yz360a and all of my other yz'a models not resprayed and they are all over the place even from side to side they differ as really they are just decals put on by hand and clear coated etc.
So I would say it is just you.
And yes this is a awsome example I wish I owned it.
The fuel tap our thinking of comes on yz250c's and other models they were late 1975 and on.
