Title: So who can explain 2T and 4T
Post by: vmxrider on October 24, 2008, 03:52:48 pm: See this all the time now referring to 2 stroke and 4 stroke. Why the "T" ??? ??? ??? ??? guess it means something in onaother language.

2T is that the piston strokes (up or down) 2 times per ignition/fueling cycle

4T is that the piston strokes (up or down) 4 times per ignition/fueling cycle

English=Stroke
French=Temp
Spanish=Tiempo
German=Takt

Internationally speaking, the T makes perfect sense and we're the odd ones out.
