It's been years since I've had to get a set so what would be the best knee braces to buy without having to be physically measured and fitted for some. :-\

The best ones are a measured fit.

i have a set, but they mark my legs if i leave them on all day and the velcro grazes my skin up. THey still cost a shit load new so best you get the most comfy ones you can, so youll actually where them. i have to force myself to wear mine . but i do.

Hey Freaky i bought long johns from aussie disposals last winter and the work a treat under your kneegaurds no more rubbing and for $20 there cheaper than skins. people still laugh and point at you but there comfy.

hey nice thinking and do they stop you getting surfers arse ? was told bike short where good for that , but if i can cover my knees as well ill give it a shot !

I wear a set of the Cti custom made braces and they are the best thing I ever bought. I was forever injuring my knees and was alway sore - even when I wasnt riding. Since I've had the braces I have not had one knee injury and this has given my knees a chance to recover to the point where I have no pain in my knees at all. I also find the braces to be more comfortable than the knee guards I use to wear. The Cti braces come with two sets of sleeves to wear under them and these are comfortable and stop any chafing. I trail ride a lot where I am wearing them all day and I dont even notice them and it only took a couple of rides to get used to them. My son also has a pair and he even using them snowboarding. All in all - a lot of money but well worth it. Get a price on a knee reconstruction, not to mention the time off work and all of a sudden they seem really cheap.

Oooh not sure what surfers arse is you may have to see a specialist in that area or maybe get a cream for it ! Sounds Nasty. But yeah they are good for all day or weekend rides and even when it is hot .

Surfers arse - you know your arse get all itchy and irritable and sweaty from being wet all day in the seat, and low behold if you get sand in your pants then its game on. Like someone sticking 1200 git between your cheeks ...............

Back to the Knee Braces ,Lee Hogan was selling them at the Classic Bike Clinic .CTI,s he reckons are the only ones to get .Email him and tell him i sent ya ( Andrew Hill ) and he will be able to measure you up and give you a good price. email [email protected]

As a side note, take your boots along and try a few, as some might not allow you to do your boot back up once fitted.
Nothing more expensive than having to buy a new pair of boots to fit your new pair of knee braces......................acutally there are a lot of things more expensive, like a LEATT neck brace for instance, or a YZ250a, or a plumbers hourly rate, but these are all issues i need to talk through with my therapist.
