Are the interchangable with anything else?
To prove there is no limit to my madness, I bought another one home today.... Pretty clean little bike, with all of the road gear, but the fork tubes are rooted.

Was that the allclassies one????? Cheeky!!! ;)
I missed the LTD250 by that much....grrrrrrrr....... >:(
-
That's the one.
I was figuring that you'd called up too.
-
I have 15 or more sets Nathan...Cheers Tim ;) But me after road gear............
-
OR........... go and pick up that 125 from Snowy and you can have the porkies out of it same thing but not the 21inch front wheel;) :)

Nathan I am trying to find an SL100 in any condition. Do you have one to sell or even just a frame, I have a half a bike and I mean half as something has driven over the rear section. I would appreciate any parts you can supply.
Glenn.

Mine is far too good to wreck, and I bought it because I regret selling my earlier one to Doc - so I'm not parting with it just yet...
Tim754 is the SL-magnet of the world - send him a PM and try your luck.

If any of you are stuck for SL bits I've got about 10 in bits. PM me if you need anything most bits are cheap but if you want original pipes and sidecovers be warned they are few a few bucks.
I'm in Romsey Vic if you want to pick bits up or I am happy to send anywhere.
BarronVMX: I've got a couple of spare frames if you're interested
Tim: let me know what road gear you're chasing as you know I'm mainly into SL's for racing so most of the road gear gets taken off, we can always do another parts swap at Broadford speedway ;D
-
Barron where are you roughly at? I do have some.. SL100 bits and pieces, as I collect SL125's and heaps of parts interchange. Most likely got all you need except a good spare seat base and plastic sidecovers are standard mufflers in good order. they are the rocking horse shit bits. Do not have any road going electrics as I lost 25 years of collected parts in a fire along with 2 complete SL100......
Oh the earliest XL100's (bubble tanks) are really re stamped SL100. NO XL125's are the same as SL125 as they use later split head engines. Cheers Tim

This is the bad side for the tank - the other side is almost perfect...
Bars are bent, compression is low.
On the bright side, the tyres are nearly new, the chain and sprockets are excellent, and I'm told that all of the electrics work.
I have the side covers, but they're both rooted (broken mounting tabs, bits missing, etc).

nice pick up looks like another new toy
-
Yep looks fine :) But much better sniff sniff in my den of depravity. :D Gees Nathan I honestly believed you when ya wrote words to the effect of maybe rationalizing the amount of projects..... :D Little Kawa G4 Trailboss looks OK too. Cheers Tim
-
I don't recall talking about rationalising projects!? :D :P
Got a better pic of the G4 on the phone, but the phone and the new PC don't get along.

Do any of you know if the forklegs on the SL175 were unique?
I need a pair... so far all I've been able to find out is that they are 31mm diameter, not even 100% sure of that (could be 32mm)....
If they were used on other models, then I could look a bit wider afield.
I just bought a triple tree, so will know a little more when I get it....
