does anyone know what fame/engine is used to build this ??

They use a '80 model CR250 frame and a CR480 motor. Nice but not legal here for the Evo class.

i like the two maico's in the background!
the nearest one looks to be sporting a suzuki tank! 8)

There was a pic of those maicos on the forum the other day. Yeah one has a rm125a tank, looks pretty good.

This brings up an interesting topic for discussion. I notice several bikes down-under that sport the '81 Pro-Link swingarm modified for twin shock '78-'80 CR250's. Is that legal for Evo class?

At the moment it's ok to use an '81 swingarm but the rule book nazis are not happy about it. I guess we'll see what happens in the future.. It doesn't bother me either way, as long as it looks within the era.

This is a very grey area up here too. '81 41mm forks are OK on '78-'80 CR250's, but the modified '81 swingarm is not allowed, yet the '81 450 motor in this '80 CR250 frame made it through tech.

geez thats a might bit confusing

Well TR our rule makers are a lot more straight forward it is No No NO if we like it or not!!
