How come you are selling Ted - are you an unbeliever ??  ;)

sorry but my 465 runs the same with or without. I threw mine off as its another source for a dangerous air leak to develop.

I know what you mean TonyB.  I am not convinced either, but there are believers either way.
Would of course be pretty valuable for historic value as much as anything else.  Period "hot up" bits for 465H would have to be attractive to somebody

No not an unbeliever...just need a little more room from cylinder to airbox.

How much do you think it is worth YZ 250 H

Yeah, just thought about what you said and remembered you are using a flatslide (if I recall correctly).
I have NFI what it would be worth.  The manifold alone should be worth $100 if in good condition.  I paid $50US for the vacuum hose and a reasonable standard bottle.  The band is $10.  An NOS boost bottle is about $80US from NWVMCP.  A genuine White Brothers one would have to be worth something close.
What does that add up to ??  Maybe I do have some FI once I think about it ::)

At the end of the day it depends what someone wants to pay.  I have the same thing for 125J - will keep it on the bike just for bling factor.

Im lucky that you didn`t mention you were interested....then i would of had to give it away for free..haha

I got pulled up at scrutineering last saturday.....guess what forking for.....yep, no countershaft sprocket cover
All was good though....cut up a plastic dinner plate and mounted it with a sidecover bolt and bob was my uncle
If that is not the most stupid rule going i`m not here...you can just see the front page headline Man gets hacked to death by his front sprocket

You want me to post it back  ?
It's still in the bag - all I have to do is seal it up again, change the "from" and "to" and put a new stamp on it.  ;D ;D
Do the scrutineers know how hard these things are to come by  :o ??  Maybe that's why they let you off with the missus' plate.  You should post a photo for the rest of us H owners who find ourselves in that predicament.

It could have been for psycological advantage.  You know - like those "go fast" graphics kits the kids put on their bikes these days.

If it was so good why did they stop using it.  How come the 2009 YZ 250 doesn't have one ??   ::)

I have never been able to establish a difference in performance, maybe it's thoery is to provide a smoother power deliver therefore making the bike less draining to ride which ultimately results at the finnish line.

It is baisicaly a primitive type of power valve, that is why it was fased out when the power valve engines were introduced...

Either way its a neat bit of gear going on a very neat YZ465, I'm Happy, Ted's Happy and the horse is Happy!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ;D ;D ;D
