New reproduction PE plastic tanks are now available to suit ALL PE's 78-84
They are made in Brazil and as of August 2021 cost $220 USD plus shipping

So far one batch has been made for the initial group of owners who helped fund the project.

An original tank was digitally scanned in UK and the sample tank was also sent to Brazil to assist with the tooling manufacturing. 1 tank was then made and sent back to UK to test fitment and check on the colour match. It was then approved and the Gilimoto started making them. People who placed orders in the first batch have been receiving their tanks around the world this week and have been impressed so far.
They come with a cap but the stock PE tank cap fits.
Capacity is slightly more than the 80-84 tank coming in at 10.8L
78 tank was 12L and 79 11.5L so this tank provides a little less than those but at least you can have a brand new tank that's not going to split straight away and wont be stained brown.

Yes just the one tank. it will fit all plastic tank models 78-84

What material have they used ?? as the unknown fuels of today destroy most plastics. If its PPE as most are, the fuel vapours will play havoc with decals.

Polyethylene as its one of the only plastics suitable but they say its the latest and greatest modern version with fancy additives or whatever and designed for fuel tanks.
Yes there will be issues with stickers sticking long term as this plastic breathes.

They do 90's KDX tanks and are probably going to do IT250 and IT465 tanks. They need min order of 50 to get the project started.

its great there is a company out there that will do reproduction tanks, with social media and being able to contact other enthusists getting a minimum order of 50 is achievable
