Yep. also in some minor markets in africa and south america that dont have severe pollution laws. Must be close to a record for a bike as its basically unchanged from 1980.

Each country should have a TS185 race class, you can only remove bits & rejet. Bring racing back to low cost.

Careful John, you'll start another "Do you Moto100" thread.

Dealers could wire the engines closed from new, just pipe, airbox & jetting changes allowed. Have an Aust Champs, sponsored by Suzuki :-)

I think there is a class for them already . Its called up to 250 cc pre 85 .
Pre 75 if you have a real TS185.
The were still selling Dunlop Aquajets- Falcon XYGT rubber- in NZ untill recently, perhaps till are.

A pity they're not the 1971 ones (Awesome)

a pipe and better airbox helped wake them up plus piss off all the road gear or find light weight replacements like on Pokeys M model

Back in '77, my TS185B cost me $699 brand new, got my L's on it, rode it to work everyday, lost my licence three times on it, rode from Frankston to the Hattah Rally in '78 ..... raced the 'up to 200 trailbike' class, was running 2nd on the fourth loop, got a flat in the rear trail tyre (no carcass strength in a trail tyre!), finished 10th. Bloody awesome bike ! :-)

This looks the part.... ;D

I had a ER/TS 185 that a guy traded in on another bike I was selling I flogged that bike like a rented mule for years and it just never died , it only ever had one throttle position.

i slipped my TS 125 motor straight into an rm 125 S frame for a cool trail bike back in the late 70's corked teh crank on the ts, tried the rm pipe but it didnt work until the ts ran out of ports and carb so used the stock ts pipe. was great to ride....the rm 125 s motor in the ts frame was a weapon! especially as it had no rear brakes ( i had to use the cable on the rm) ..i was giving it a run at a local riding spot when ol mate rocked up in a car full of hoons and wanted a ride....after 3 hard gears he went for the brake.. panicked pulled the front on hard and bit the ground hard :o.. no helmet.. he was in loose tooth city for a week ;D

Good to see they are still made as it means new parts are still available. This ER model first came out in 1979 actually and the same motor came out in 1977.
Pokey, your bike looks really good. Needs a Webco head.
