Are you sure they existed?
I thought the C was the last of the MX 125 models?

Maybe you are correct about no D model? The C model seems to be the last? But it seems you can fit YZ D parts?

that link was an interesting read, think ill go with fitting an it175d/e/f motor with an yz close ratio box.it will  be good for hacking around the old half mile longtrack hereand easy to chuck around

The IT175D/E cylinder will be better for longtrack due to the extra power.

yeah the D/E model were the hottest of that bunch and good mx type power then on the F they gave them more bottom end by dropping the top of the exhaust port 1.5mm,i know when I ported my TS185A and raised the exhaust port 1.5mm that it made a big difference on mid/top end power but stuff all bottom end for going behind sheep.

i had a mate (Vic A Grade Mx Rider) that raced his dad's IT175 D in Sea Lake desert race in early 80's he said it had heaps of top end and suited this type of event, he chose that over his mX bike at the time due to the top end and fuel range.

yeah the 175 would be a lot better for desert racing with the wide ratio box/50cc more and 4/5 litre bigger tank, just change to the longer yz suspension coz the stock IT suspension is abit short and you'd have a nice handling bike though the F model  was a lot better in that department
