Title: Happy Christmas
Post by: VMX247 on December 21, 2018, 12:23:06 am
Another Christmas arriving and another year ahead.Come 2030 it will be retirment age for us :)
Did a bit of officiating this passed year, but with a bung knee riding is becoming a distant memory.
The VMX sky hasn't fallen and we are still here. For those that have left us in 2018 ,Im sure we are thankful for creating magic memories.
Healthy numbers continue in our sport,so with that we wish you a safe and joyful time in the next week at Christmas.
cheers US 2 WA

Merry -mas . It has been a mixed year . Older classes and bikes dwindled in racing  and new modern classes have been created to compensate (I believe pre 2000 or 2005 is about to become  reality ;D)  . Prices for pre 80 VMX bikes have now become much more affordable , if you collect them that is . Old Enduro and road bikes show nice increases in value for whatever reasons.Could be due to their usefulness and  classic registration perhaps. There was  also a couple of "classic reproduction "attempts by Kawasaki  and Yamaha , lets see how that will turn out in numbers sold.Yes the sky hasn't fallen in (yet), but things in VMX certainly have changed alot since the turn of the century. Merry X-mas to you all .

Merry Christmas and Happy new year all

Once again I'm looking forward to seeing the end of another year disappear and hoping next year will be better,
but every year I think that the following year seems to get worse :o

2019 will see me drag out a KDX 200 from the storage shed for a rebuild, my first race will be to build it in time for the first Vinduro

Hope Santa is good to you all
Cheers,
Geoff

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to everyone from VERi.

Thanks to all the riders, committee members, volunteers and vintage dirt bike fans who helped make 2018 a successful year for the club.

The highlight of this year was definitely the 10th anniversary of the iconic Harrow Vinduro, and it will be back for its eleventh edition in 2019.

We hope to see as many of you as possible in the new year!

Merry Christmas to all you stalwarts on this forum. We're happy to see it still has a useful place in the ever evolving jungle of Social Media and numbers have steadily grown over the year. As we have discovered from our collective love of the old dirt bikes, sometimes the older, simpler and more basic model is more enjoyable and keeps its soul. Hope you are all having a great Xmas with your family, friends & loved ones and getting in some quailty R&R time
