Title: 1984 CR500 rear hub
Post by: ralph311 on November 14, 2018, 12:19:08 am
Anyone know if a 1984 CR125 rear hub will fit a 1984 CR500?

Thanks.

250 hubs will interchange but I believe the 125 units are different. Do confirm that.

same part number for 125 250 500 for 84 and 85 and 86 so they must all be the same
then again part numbers sometimes can be misleading (XL600 tappet adjuster screws had one number but 2 diameter threads?????)

FWIW the 125 hub does fit in a 500 but it's not the same. The offset is different, I had to make new spacers to get the chain to line up.

for CR500 85 & 86 rear hubs are different, 85' has a single bearing on drive side where as 86' has 2. i believe they are both interchangeable for either bike dimension wise
