Title: VERi 2018 Blackwood Vinduro - Sunday 21 October (plus VERi AGM on Sat night)

Come along and enjoy some terrific riding in this popular location. It's a great opportunity to check out some of the trails ahead of the next year's multi day competitive vinduro!

The course on Sunday will be approximately 50 kms in length. Some challenging stuff in there, but also open fire trail sections to let you get your breath back.

Entry fee is $85, which includes MV levy. Online entry opens soon.

Cabin accommodation is available for $15 per person per night, this will be booked separately, stay tuned for details.

On the Saturday night before (20 October) the VERi AGM will be held in the local hall. A set dinner will be available, which you'll be able to book online.

VERi members should think about any issues they wish to raise, and if they wish to stand for any of the committee positions.

More details will be made available very soon here, and on our website and FB page/group.

Post by: Tex on October 05, 2018, 09:26:11 am: As stated already, if you are keen to have a run at the competitive event next year, it will be held in the same area as this vinduro, so definitely worthwhile taking the opportunity to get a feel for the terrain!

Another option would be to become a licensed motor dealer and just hang you trader's plate on ya camel back. ????

Post by: VERi on October 12, 2018, 12:22:52 am: Please note that the Saturday evening meal has been cancelled. Anyone who had pre-paid will be refunded at the event. The Blackwood Hotel has meals available on, so no need for those staying on Saturday night to go hungry!

Post by: VERi on October 25, 2018, 09:33:03 pm: The 2018 Blackwood Vinduro was a great success with over 80 riders enjoying a terrific course that had a few challenging hills and deeper than expected puddles to make things really interesting!

Thanks to everyone who made it possible, including: Peter Drakeford, David White, 'Jimbo' Laidler, Barb Goddard, George Goddard, Rachelle Wilkinson, Michelle Zeestraten, Wayne Ballinger, Greg Hodges, Dave Warburton, Karen Flowers, Paul Kalika, Serge Coffa, DELWP, Geoff Davis, John McClean, Jennifer McClean, Clint Stretton, Tony Bellette, Kristen Cahill, John 'Tex' O'Brien, and anyone else we’ve forgotten.

A special mention must go to the Blackwood Hotel for making everyone who dropped in for a drink or meal feel so welcome.

The event in the Otways scheduled in November has been cancelled due to unforeseen administrative issues. VERi is working on finding a replacement venue/event, so stay tuned for further announcements.
