I have a few parts for sale on here and in a PE facebook group.
Several people have been in touch and asked for a discount on the price as post is so expensive.
My answer is that when people and businesses in other states start giving me a discount to offset freight, I'll do the same.

Yeah, I'm with you on this Brent. If someone wants it bad enough they'll buy it. I sold an old school bumper bar off a Chev truck a while ago and the same situation was happening to me. It eventually was sold but I had a few tyre kickers. I live in NSW and it went to Vic so it depends on how keen your customer is I suppose.jimson

This pisses me off , Ive had to pay postage from all over the world for parts Ive wanted and I have never even thought of asking for a discount because of freight costs . Im in the freight game and I get clients saying all the time "im not making anything on this how low can you meet me on freight ? WTF if your selling and not charging for freight why the fork should I have to work for pittance so you can make a profit . Man up either charge or make a loss don't expect me to take a loss . Rant over . remember freight has to be paid for by someone .

Uh huh. I have customers coming in wringing their hands stating that they've paid too much for a bike and that I should sell them parts cheaper or else they won't make money on the resale. Yep, it's all my fault then.
