Hi guys, has anyone tried one of these as a P4 roadracer?
-
I seem to remember John Orchard on here had a tm250 for road racing so he might be able to help you out

Unless your a masochist with a big wad of cash and immune to disappointment, starting with a T250 or RD 250 is a better idea. If you dare to be different and want a engine that makes really good hp a rotary valve Kawasaki engine is the place to start.

I purchased a $500 1969 TS250 Suzuki for pre 70's mx racing then decided to convert the bike to that exact purpose of P4 racing for Phillip Island Classic.
I rebuilt the engine, ported cylinder and removed points ignition fitting ts185 unit, fitted TM250 pipe and the bike sounds great
The frame stripped of all unnecessary lugs and moved the original tank mounting back for ducktail an seat, fitted road tyres
I purchased a full fairing /Screen, clip ons and rear sets to mount
Unfortunately the project stalled as I commenced work in NW WA, that was over 2 years ago,,,strewth time gets away
Anyway the TS250 is still sitting there waiting for my return,.....
I have faith the 69 Suzuki will be ok on the track, it may not be the fastest but will look cool anyway with a killer paint job haha

Thanks for the info guys and especially to Tim. At the moment I need a project and this looked like a good idea at the time. it will fit in well with mt T500 r/racer.
If you know of a Tm250 cyl, that could be good
