Title: Front end conversion RM125A
Post by: micko on June 08, 2018, 08:00:58 pm
Bit confused, fitted my 250A front end into the 125A today, I want to use the 36mm forks - and read an article about it being a straight bolt on swap over they did back then - now the fork legs hit on the tank ???? any suggestions ? The 250A and 125B part # is the same for the bottom triple tree.
Help appreciated

Different steering stops.

The reason the forks hit the tank is because the leading axle 250 triple clamps have less offset compared to the inline axle fork triple clamps on the 125. You will need to mod the steering stops on the triples and or frame and or shift the tank/seat back a bit.

Should be able to shift the tank back a bit,and play with the stops. nothing's ever simple. Cheers

The 250 has 60mm total offset (30mm in the clamps and 30mm at the axle). I think? the 125 inline axle forks have a 50 or 55m offset in the clamps.
