Title: Fork leg re-chroming
Post by: YUMASTEPSIDE on May 20, 2018, 09:13:18 am
Can anyone recommend somewhere to get a set of fork legs re-chromed?  I have a set from of upside downs from an '89 ATK250  that I'm restoring and there's no-one here in Tassie that will do them.
Somewhere in VIC, NSW or S.A. would be the easiest

To be honest, I know nothing about upside-downs, haven't even pulled it apart yet, just looking for cost.

Not worth fixing........I'll take it off your hands, save you the heart ache.
Seriously, they have an interesting fork set up, there is a damper rod thats attached to the fork cap that slides up into a bush in the fork leg, hard to explian you'll know when you see it. If you decide to not go ahead, I'd like first refusal, got a 406 that needs a little brother.

Any idea on what they charge for set of 38mm tubes 700mm long that are in good condition with just a handful of minor pits between the triples?

I thought someone may have already had a price from them. I contacted them yesterday and they quoted $450.
