Title: RM250/370 1976 77 tank ID help required

Looking for info on RM alloy tanks for 250/370 capacities.

I have a good straight tank but not sure which one it is, its gas cap is off set to the right side and the seem under the left side of the tank at the fuel tap is not straight, it steps around the fuel tap slightly.

There appears to be two part numbers for the 250 & 370 tanks .

Can anyone tell me when the cap was offset in the production run of these models.

also it appears to a bit narrower then the centreline cap tanks.

Filler in the centre is 1976, off to the side (as yours is) is 1977.
