thats one of the tidiest IT's ive seen for a while. the tank looks pretty good and not stained to a green colour like you usually see. are you fitting a tail light?
-
I have all the wiring in-tact to fit a tail light but I won't be fitting it until I road rego it which won't be for a while.
Gotta have some fun on the dirt first right! ;)

"Sure I have missed a few things,...." USD forks ??? ::) ;) ;D.
Congrats, a nicely restorted/emended IT. Sounds like it will be great to ride and something you'll be proud to keep for years.
-
im thinking they are not too out of period. there were simmons USD forks then. also the first WP 4054 forks came out in about 82 but im not sure if they were USD or covnentional.
-
rear disk brake and upside down forks are a put off for me....but apart from that its looks the goods... :)
-
I still have all of the original parts, all of them.
The ride-ability and handling has been advanced 18 years, and you can feel it - in a good way... :)

All 4054 are upside down and came first fitted OEM to KTM in 86

of course you have a seat cover ordered, or you prefer to keep the original? The moer I think of this, the more I like the idea of -original ass_
-
Seat cover, side panel decals and a few odds and ends will complete it.
-
hmmm well i have a list from white brothers USA who were a big importer of WP forks and parts for aftermarket fittments in the 80's and they list rebuild kits for
4054 - non adjustable, 40mm 1982-1988
4054 - multi-adjustable, 40mm 89-91
4054 - multi- adjustable, 40mm 92-95
5060 - extreme, 50mm 96-99
plus newer models
maybe they were around in europe in 82 as an aftermarket set of forks?
whos right?
-
I have a shitload of R/W K Decals for tank, but they are no good for your "blue beauty".
Anyone that is reading this post, welcome to PM me for details for the YZK R/W Tank Decals.
Cheaper than USA. Moreso since yesterday.
