Any word yet ? Ive heard rumours classic are going to be in Vic . Iain
-
Yes. I am sure many others would like to know .
Be good to have in Vic for a change or even NSW.
-
MA has re advertised the following
Aust Post Classic MX
Aust Post Classic Dirt Track
Get your club to apply ASAP.
-
So with EVO looking like being included in the Classic Titles and reading the minutes that the EVO age groups also move and no sign of age groups in Pre85, Pre90 or Pre95/00
The Classic titles will have around 48 solo classes
The Post Classic Titles will have around 16 solo classes
That seems well balanced.
-
So could probably do post classic and get it wrapped up in 1 day!!!
Cheers
Kim

True, although the costs to the club are the same and would you get the entries given the attendance over recent years when EVO was included? While Pre95 has a following in some club it will take time to develop.
Can the Classics with possibly up to 48 x 3 (144) solo races be comfortably achieved in two days?
-
Is pre 95 a thing for title events?

Is pre 95 a thing for title events?
Pre95 was proposed to the Commission my a number of people via submissions. The Commission minutes recommended going straight to Pre2000 instead of Pre95. The 'word' is that Pre95 will get up. Read the minutes on the MA WEB site.
If accepted into the MOMS then yes they will be a title event.
-
Pre95 had gained acceptance by many clubs nationwide well before the Pre95 proposal came before the Commission for discussion. I think there will be a good level of support for the new class at national championship level. MA is committed to ensuring that the Australian Classic and Post Classic Championships reflect the importance to the discipline that it deserves. It is now up to the riders and respective clubs to ensure they support the events to enable all of us to showcase the sport that we all love!
-
Agree that Pre95 has been in some clubs for a few years much the same as Pre90 before it was included at national level. I am just suggesting that it will take a couple of years to fully establish and fill grids at National level much like Pre90 did. Not suggesting there is a problem with its introduction or that riders will not support it.
-
Any news on Dates and Venues for next years Post and Vintage Championships ?.
Please do not bring up Pre 95 again.
-
MA have not released the National Calendar yet.
-
Well Ian you will have a new pit bike for when the body gets sore etc!

22-23 Sept Motocross Australian Classic Motocross Championship Stallwell, VIC Scrambling Victoria Inc Phillip Scott 03 5358 2178
-
Is it true that the Stallwell council and others have put a stop to this event ?
-
Scrambling Victoria mcc is facing resistance from Stawell council, Local shire and some locals who object to the 2018 Classic mx titles being held on farm land. The proposed venue is in between Ararat and Stawell and would have been a nice rolling natural terrain track near two x towns. Scrambling Victoria are looking at an alternate venue in Ararat. Will keep you posted.
-
Thanks FDR bloody councils .
-
bloody councils
this will make you laugh
in qld we had a very nice supercross track
council closed it . reason noise and dust
the adjoining property is a quarry still in operation
-
Has Vic pulled the pin now and it's been moved to SA?
-
The event is going forward in Vic as planned with only a slight change of venue. It was originally scheduled to be held in Stawell Vic but will now take place in Ararat Vic, which is about 20 minutes or so from Stawell.

I guess it's close enough to be almost a SA event. Vintage seems strong in SA hope you get a lot of entries from there.
-
I will be there .
-
At this stage expressions of interest from WA is about 15 entrants and probably 25 to 30 bikes. No container this year but there may be some room left on the trailers that will be coming by road. Let me know if you need bike transport and I will try to coordinate this end. Looking forward to Ararat!!
