Title: Heya Folks! From Perth WA.
Post by: Shufoy on October 06, 2017, 10:38:10 pm
Heya guys, just joined, thanks for having me!

In the midst of rebuilding a TS250 69 model, want to venture into some vintage off road action once she's set to go.

I will have some questions along the way, so be nice and say gday!

Gday mate, welcome from WA.You can join the classic mx cliub,VMXWA or the vinduro club.Enjoy building your bike. The closest I have to one of those is a race ready TM250L,though I'm more into Pr90 MX and have Hondas for that purpose.Regards Richo.

Welcome Shufoy, i am from Perth too. Have a few bikes, but not quite as old as 69.
There are various ways to add pics.  All by using your favourite hosting service.  I use my OneDrive which is linked to my hotmail account.

Cheers,
Alex

I believe Doc has a nice  one of those in his stash of suzuki heaven. He will turn up soon and be able to answer just about anything you need to know about them.

You can get a fair bit of mumbo out of those things but they are heavy and handle like  two horny wombats in a wet potato sack. Nice score though.

Thanks Lads!

Resto is well underway now.

Tried Photobucket as I had an account there but its now pay only. Is there a free site to host pics, or another way for the less technicalogically inclined souls?

The '69 is of course the first TS and so iconic - good choice.  Lots inherited from a T250 road bike but lots not.  I did a resto on one myself a few years ago so got acquainted with it.  Remember the first time hoiking the bottom end off the garage floor - could hardly lift it!!  Talk about solid.  And twin main bearings on each end of the crank no less.  Are you doing a full OEM resto?  Much parts needed (not that I have any anymore)?  Always an adventure.....
