As stated I have a 1975 cr250 with stock suspension (non leading axle forks and girling 12" shocks). I have been told that I could upgrade with longer shocks and leading axle forks. If anyone has done this would you be kind enough to advise me on the best set up please.
Cheers Dave

So you want a taller bike? Nothing wrong with the standard forks if you set them up a bit, plus there are lots of shock options without going for longer units. '75/'76 bikes handle nice & go around corners really well. You will lose some cornering by going taller.

Walter, are your fork springs the correct length to suit the various 35mm Husky forks or are they 10 miles short where you are expected to use a very long pre-load spacer to make up the difference like a rival brand?

Anyone is welcome to down load those lists from YSS Australia website . Thats what they are therefore . So when you have a non model specific project or unusual request ,you look for the closest dimensions or spring rates on the list that you need .You can do that 24/7 at your own leasure There are four main lists . I already had messages " How do I find the lists?" Here we go :On the main menu ( there is a phone version and PC version) , http://store.suspensionshop.org/ click on ALL SPRINGS . Then choose from the 4 categories (linear front , progressive front , linear rear and progressive rear). All springs have the same SKU, because ALL SPRINGS are not attached to model specific products in this category . So you basically check out with the category chosen ( eg linear front springs ) that will handle the payment and dispatch details . There you will be asked for rider weight and in the remark section you can then nominate the spring you got from the list . Sounds complicated ? Well there is still the old phone to call and discuss it . But please look at the lists first before calling . If its listed we have it . If its not there , we do not have it . This will save you lots of time .
