Title: What model IT175 do I have?

Hi all,
I picked up an IT175 today. Just wondering what year it is.

It has a steel mono shock swing arm, round speedo, blue mudguards,black seat with no Yamaha logo & just YAMAHA on the tank without any logos.

I have photo's but can't work out how to upload.

Bike is complete except for right side plate.

What is the first three numbers and letters on the frame and engine IE pre fix number

I didn't get frame & engine no.'s

Front number plate is black & exhaust is on the left.

I'm guessing an F?

       Sounds like   77D  78E  or 79F the only ones with the steel swing arm
 
      The 79D had a longer swing arm than the other 2  measure it from the

       swing arm point to the end and them i can tell you but it sounds like an

      F model

F models have longer travel both ends and they dropped the exhaust port 1.5mm for abit more bottom end power.the Aussie IT forum is a good place for all things IT ;)

F model has two bolts holding the silencer on.

Yes silencer is held on with two bolts.
