There is one front row parking spot available for this meeting. $110
These spots have an unhindered view of the track right from your camp

There is also four second row spots available right behind the front row at $70 each.

Once these spots are taken everybody else will either be in the pits or the lower paddock which will be free

UPDATE: Last front row spot has been taken by Lincoln representing Qld. So we have 3 NSW, 3 QLD and 4 VIC teams on the front row. Some say that's all the Vic's will win, Some say ....well that's another story.

There is four second row spots still available. The four that have gone are all Queenslanders. Come on NSW have a crack for your club and take up the remaining four spots

* What terrain is the track, ie, what tyres to use?

* What would be the gap between class races if I wanted to run, Pre 82, Pre 85, modern & Over 55 ?

Hi John. The club will work out a race order at entry close. Heaven run junior races to minimize back to back races. And they very well understand back to back and will wait a reasonable time for all to participate. Enter champ, it's the best meet on the calander

This event is looking to really be gaining some traction. It was awesome last year on a very vintage friendly track and this year the Victorians and Queenslanders seem to be rallying troupes to try and knock NSW off. I like their optimism ;D

John it is a modern track but no one seemed to have major issues with it last year. The track is prepped to suit our older bikes and bodies. We ran Pre75 to modern last year. if you have a look at the VMX state of origin facebook page there is some video of a '73 YZ250 setting a scorching lap and on the Hastings Valley MC Club WEB page a very good track tour video. I will try to post links tonight

* What would be the gap between class races if I wanted to run, Pre 82, Pre 85, modern & Over 55 ?
You can run your modern in >55 or you could run your VMX in >55 and your modern in >45.
The program schedule is arrived at after entries closed like most meetings (except possibly stable club days) we will try to avoid back to backs and this meeting schedule is fairly relaxed so we run a reasonably good pace to allow for stoppages etc
It you bring 6 bikes and enter 7 classes then you must expect back to backs. Your selected classes for example would not follow each other but I can not guarantee you may not have one back to back if you enter three bikes in the maximum number of classes
It appears you could enter your bikes in all of the following
Pre82
Pre85
Pre90 (double up on the Pre85)
>55 on the Modern or Pre85
>45 on the modern
Open on the modern
 :o
If you did that expect back to back more than once. A pretty big commitment as well ;)

What is the break-up, state wise, for entries?

Are goggle tear-offs allowed?

we are over a 100 riders with 5 busy days of early bird entries to go.

NSW >45
Vic >23
Qld >33

Should be interesting. The cane toads and Mexicans are invading ;D . All the teams have some talent and depth!  8) 8) 8) 8)

John many riders do not like the fact that they will be away from their homes all weekend splashed across social media. Less honest people than we VMX racers can read social media just as well as us. When you arrive and sign on there will be a full program including riders etc.

John, I put full results up ASAP. Still recovering!! and sorting through the MA reports etc. Fortunately no serious injuries this year.

Thanks heaps for your help on Sunday on the start grid. I think we just about exhausted the number of gate resets we had in us. It seemed to get heavier as the day went on  ???.

The overall team result is based on the number of class 'team' wins. This year there were representative teams from each state in Pre75, Pre78, Pre82, Pre85, Pre90, Pre95, Open, 35+, 45+, 55+, P75/78/82 125cc & Pre85/90/95 125cc.
The results of that were
Qld 5
Vic 4
NSW 3

The scores were very close as you can see but it must be said that Queensland put in a dominate performance and were strong in every class and were the better team on the weekend.

If we had included the after party performance :o WELL then Victoria certainly would have taken the prized lump of good OZ timber south ;D ;D 8). Carl's outfit alone almost took your eye out :P

l have to say, that was one of the best motorcycle events l have ever been to, yes the track was too 'modern', it not suiting older bikes or bodies, hence some older gents opting not to ride, me included (my sprained wrist & cramping issues making it too dangerous to continue to ride).

And yes there was the issues of the water-pump breaking-down but you guys sourced the water tanker super fast, well done.

Everyone, from the officials to the canteen staff were super-helpful & friendly, care & thought was given to every rider, if someone's bike would not start at the start-gate, everyone waited and/or helped to get them out on track.

We camped next to some awesome guys (and they were nsw guys!) in the paddock that made it such a pleasure; Chappy & Ken (PCRA, Dickens Racing).

Tell all your friends to put this meeting on your calendar for next year, it is an awesome old-school, fun event that is not to be missed.

Look-out next year, all the Vic's will be back next year with an even stronger contingent!!!!!
