Title: Bronze Bushes
Post by: John Smith on August 02, 2017, 07:54:34 am
Hey all,

So has anyone replaced a bronze bush the a rear brake lever pivots on? Ive got an 81 RM and the bush is NLA - mines stuffed,  any ideas?

Tks

Should be a easy job, get the old 1 out & measure what size the shaft is to make the hole the right side.
Anyone who can use a lathe half decent can whip a new 1 up quite quickly

Phosphur bronze is the go, hard wearing, self lubricating whilst softer than the steel pin that the lever uses as a fulcrum.
