I was at the troy bayliss classic cuppla years ago, stiffling hot, sitting next to an old bloke who was looking after his wife. I was amazed at the knowledge of this ole fella and the passion. He told me he and his wife had driven from QLD and was going to drive back that night. I told him that was a crazy idea and he should camp the night somewhere . He told me "ive had been doin this since before you was born " Turns out his name was Don Newell RIP ole fella

My sincere condolences to Marie, Tom and the rest of the Newell family. I only just heard tonight of Don's passing.
He will be sadly missed by all Club Bultaco members, he attended most of our rallies and will long be remembered for his tales around the campfire of "the good old days" with Bultaco. It was a pleasure to know you Don - a real legend in Oz motorcycling.
