Title: Flushing Glycol brake fluid for silicon fluid?
Post by: John Orchard on June 17, 2017, 09:23:25 am
Hey Guy's,

l am wanting to flush a brake system that has been using glycol based fluid, that l want to replace with silicon fluid; anyone know the best thing to flush it with?

While l wouldn't worry about changing the fluid types with a dirtbike, this is my 200hp roadrace bike, where l do lose some lever as the fluid overheats.

Regards, John.

Best thing is water followed buy metho. Flush it through then blow through with compressed air to dry it out. It's important to get all the water out which is the reason for the metho flush.
