Mate has a good WR 400 he is thinking of selling. he was talking about gtree and I suggested he put an expression of interest here to avoid all the "hey mate swap ya for me 85 pord palcon wiv roof racks" calls
anyone interested, he is after big coin.
its a strong motor, was purchased from husky imports after the single shockers came out and appears to have had race prepping. was on a farm for years then purchased.
Has a cr front end, new seals oils etc, recoed shockers, new cables, bearings, air filter, good C+S, tyres are new with HD tubes. Is a bit rough visually but has sticker kit, new seat cover etc to go . was raced at the pacific masters and went like a champion. Could be a concourse bike after a frame paint and tidy up.
he is away working but will be back nxt week and I will get piccy's maybe a video etc for anyone interested.
offers around 6 will be considered.

great testimony...an awesome bike. I just love riding it. I only wish I had bought the 400 instead of the240 back in the day. I would still have it.

No secrets or surprises here, considered very highly by all Husky nuts and very desirable and rare in Oz.

I still remember having the 84 125 Husky which was dreadful , going riding and learning with Pelle and him giving me a go on his 400 , I begged for one but Hans had sold them all.

how bad was that 125... mate had one and after a kdx 175 / 200 he was pretty disappointed
-
It went slower than last weeks dole check.
Truly 5 HP down on anything, The good was it handled very well as all under powered bikes do in good chassis.
It is only my opinion.
The 400 was the best bike I rode for a long time if you could not win on that bike it was because you was slow. I love the auto's because there out there but if I was racing for money in twin shock I buy just one bike.

Rode John Hansen's 82/83 ? 125 that Paul Rooney had played with.
Nowhere the hp of my 81 mx125lc KTM but boy did it handle.
The KTM motor in that Husky would have been brilliant.
Here's the other 85/400

those last air cooler 125's were pretty good after a tickle up, the big reed valve ports were conducive to good hp gains.

that would be it...he has decided to lower the price a bit realistically. He is happy, he has had a scam call...
