They look like something the Dutch got at...
-
Its a Thai Drag bike . Two stroke 10.5 seconds standing .
-
Looks like fun. Perfectly safe from the ankles up. ::)

10.5 eh Walter..bloody hell! :o they only sound like sub 200cc but the speed off the line is awesome even for the 4 bangers. Would make a neat commuter..reminds me a little of my old KH125 supacommute :P which I incidently still have although it's not complete anymore..the motors' still a sweet thing but it's waiting for an early KS/KE/KX124 frame to happen along for it to reside in ;)

the fourstrokes do 12.5 ( CBR 150) they are " normal " Thai street bikes. Thats why they are so popular over there. Same goes for Cycle Cross , which is the common form of Motocross. (110 scooter class and 150 fourstroke class)
This are the most popular form of racing in Thailand , Malaisia , Indonesia and Philipines. ( A bit like Holden V8 in Australia)

Actually , just watched some of the clips now , I have made the shocks and forks for some and ridden the bikes for a quick blast up the street in front of the factory . What a small world.

While you see these awsome race times - keep in mind that these drags are over 300m - not our 1/4mile 400m!
-
jees they fly, are they on Methanol Walter?
-
Anything goes in Asia ,they dont have FIM rules.

I lived in Indonesia for many years and have seen similar motorbikes converted to mx,they call them "klas bebek" or duck class, quite bizarre really when you are invited to come and see motocross action and this is what turns up. I took over a 1991 ktm 250cc two stroke to the remote area in Indo where I lived and they were quite amazed to see such a machine.
