Title: TM250K gear oil drain plug
Post by: YZAT252 on March 16, 2017, 12:35:56 pm
Does anyone know which of the two plugs is the drain plug? One in the middle facing straight down, or the one at the front on an angle?

Thanks Doc, I have been given a couple of different answers, the old owner said the one at the front has a spring and cam so I figured it was the rear one. Cheers

Hi Craig. I never used the rear one, just the one with the cam and spring inside.
Cheers

Ken, that's the neutral detent holding pin, which you risk losing when removing to drain the oil. The drain plug is the straight one, as Doc says, and is at the lowest point of the gearbox.
Pete.
