Title: Blackwood Vinduro - Sunday 26 March 2017

The first VERi event for 2017 is the Blackwood Vinduro on Sunday 26 March.

All bikes must be registered, and all riders must have a motorcycle licence.

VERi is not organising any accommodation or catering for this event. If you wish to stay overnight contact the Blackwood Mineral Springs Caravan Park or Blackwood Hotel.

im out  :-\ mashed my thumb a bit :o  very sore....shoulder was just coming good too >:(

At this stage there is no Vicroads exemption for recreg bikes for use on road. However, most of the course is ok for recreg. There are two very short road sections which are part of the course but would not present any difficulties to be negotiated off the bike.

The weathers looking good for the weekend! Be a top ride in a special area - there's so much variety. Entry on the day is fine but please print out the entry form, complete it and have the correct entry fee - change will be limited! Don't forget your licence. It just helps keep things moving at sign-in which everyone appreciates.

Yep, we've had some nice rain around here so conditions should be perfect.

A few people have pre-entered, and the majority manufacturer thus far is... Kawasaki.

We hope to see as many riders as possible on Sunday.

Start/finish area is on Recreation Reserve Road and will be sign posted early Sunday morning. If travelling from Melbourne, take the Western Freeway (M8) towards Ballarat, and then Greendale-Trentham Road (C318) towards Blackwood. Once you reach Blackwood, turn left onto Simmons Creek Road, and then right onto Recreation Reserve Road.

The course itself will be approximately 25 kms total distance, with riding on Sunday only.

Good times and great conditions.

Thanks to VERi for a great event - shame we weren't allowed more single track by the authorities but what there was was enjoyable (a bit cheeky making us dismount to get under those 2 logs!). Nice and fast flowing tracks, and the hills were really enjoyable as opposed to my struggles 2 years ago in the wet!

Thanks to all the volunteers/sweeps and cheers Tex for keeping an eye out at the road crossing.

Had a blast and reminded me why I love these events. Can't wait for Beaufort!

Nice photos and video Tony H, and thanks for the kinds words Jules. 

We're very pleased with how the event went, thanks to all the riders who came along and made it a terrific day.

Thanks also to all of the volunteers who made it happen.

There are some pics on the VERi Instagram account, and there should be some photos appearing on our Facebook page soon.

Now to start getting ready for Beaufort!
